Nora Rose O’Neill is an experienced commercial litigator who represents clients in complex civil, criminal, regulatory, and fiduciary matters in state and federal courts, as well as arbitration proceedings.
Clients rely on Nora for strategic counsel in matters involving employment, unfair competition, trade secrets, intellectual property, banking, securities, fiduciary obligations, oil and gas, and class action matters. She represents both plaintiffs and defendants and is known for her thoughtful pre-litigation counseling, thorough advocacy, courtroom experience, and practical approach to resolving complex disputes efficiently and effectively.
Nora joined Frederic Dorwart, Lawyers in 2007. She has extensive experience representing institutional and individual clients in commercial contract disputes, employment-related matters, various regulatory investigations, FINRA proceedings, and trust and fiduciary disputes. She also regularly represents individuals in criminal defense matters in both state and federal court.
Since 2020, Nora has served as a member of the Criminal Justice Act Panel for the US District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma, representing indigent defendants in federal criminal cases and also serves as an Adjunct Settlement Judge for the Northern District of Oklahoma as part of the court’s mandatory settlement conference program. She is also a member of the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals Committee for the Preparation of Uniform Criminal Jury Instructions
Nora graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she served as Senior Editor of the University of Pennsylvania Journal of Constitutional Law. She earned her undergraduate degree summa cum laude in Political Science and English Literature from the University of Pittsburgh.
