David W. Leimbach focuses his practice on commercial litigation, representing businesses and individuals in federal and state courts, as well as arbitration proceedings. His practice includes complex commercial disputes, banking litigation, patent-infringement matters, energy and construction disputes, product-liability litigation, ERISA class actions, and appellate advocacy.
Clients rely on David for strategic and efficient representation in high-stakes disputes involving substantial financial exposure, operational risk, and complex legal issues. He is known for his analytical approach, persuasive advocacy, and ability to efficiently resolve disputes while remaining focused on clients’ business and litigation objectives.
Before joining Frederic Dorwart, Lawyers PLLC in 2019, David clerked for the Honorable Gregory K. Frizzell of the US District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma and the Honorable Judith C. McCarthy of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York. He also practiced law in New York, where he represented clients in a broad range of civil litigation matters in federal and state courts.
David received his Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School, where he was recognized as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. He earned his Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in Mathematics and Philosophy from Dartmouth College.
