Zeb Fish represents banks and financial institutions in the origination, documentation, and closing of commercial loans – from single-lender community bank deals to complex multi-party syndicated transactions.
Clients call Zeb when a loan needs to get done right and on time. He works across the full range of commercial lending: construction financing, acquisition and term loans, revolving credit facilities, and specialty asset lending – including aircraft, equipment, and equity interests – handling everything from initial documentation through final closing. His practice is lender-focused and national in scope, spanning commercial real estate, multifamily, hospitality, industrial, healthcare, and personal property asset classes across the country.
Zeb is known for moving transactions forward efficiently without sacrificing precision. His deep familiarity with loan structures, property types, and documentation mechanics allows him to anticipate problems before they arise and keep closings on track. Lenders rely on him not just to paper a transaction, but to identify structural risk, work through title and diligence issues, and translate complex deal terms into clean, enforceable agreements.
Before joining Frederic Dorwart Lawyers, Zeb served as a shareholder and finance practice group leader at a Dallas-based business law firm, where he represented lenders and borrowers in commercial real estate finance, corporate lending, and municipal bond transactions. Earlier in his career, he led large real estate portfolio acquisition teams at a major Texas firm – overseeing deals ranging from $2 billion to $4 billion in value – and represented institutional investment clients at a national firm in the acquisition of loan pools and real property assets across the United States.
Zeb currently serves on the Executive Committee of Frederic Dorwart Lawyers.
