Kyden Creekpaum serves as outside general counsel to several clients and advises on a broad range of compliance, regulatory, and corporate risk matters. His practice focuses on employment law; internal investigations; anti-corruption, sanctions, and trade compliance; cybersecurity and data privacy; contracts; and employee handbooks, policies & procedures, as well as training legal and compliance teams, managers, and employees.
Clients rely on Kyden to navigate complex legal and operational risks that often involve cross-border business activities, government scrutiny, whistleblower allegations, cybersecurity incidents, and high-stakes compliance concerns. He is known for his strategic judgment, international experience, and practical approach to helping businesses build effective compliance programs while responding efficiently to crises and regulatory challenges.
Kyden joined Frederic Dorwart, Lawyers PLLC in 2017 after practicing at a large international law firm in Paris and Washington, D.C. He has extensive experience conducting third-party due diligence, leading internal investigations, designing and implementing compliance programs, and advising clients regarding the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and other international anti-corruption laws.
Over the course of his career, Kyden has advised clients in the oil and gas, banking, aerospace, healthcare, nonprofit, and energy sectors, conducting due diligence and investigations on six continents. He has also been seconded three times to work directly with senior executives at major international organizations, including serving as interim Chief Compliance Officer for a U.S.-based natural gas company with global operations.
Kyden is a sought-after speaker and trainer on compliance topics and previously served as an adjunct law professor at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.
